This policy explains what personal data vefru.com collects, why, and what you can do about it. We keep data collection small. Vefru has no user accounts and takes no payments.

Privacy at Vefru: the short version

  • You can use the comparison tool and read everything without giving us your name or email.

  • Analytics and advertising cookies run only with your consent. You can withdraw it any time.

  • When you click through to a provider, an affiliate network records the click. That is how we earn a commission.

  • We don't sell your personal data.

  • You can ask to see, correct or delete your data at [email protected].

1. Who is responsible for your data

vefru.com is run by the Vefru team ("Vefru", "we"). We decide how and why your personal data is used, so we are its controller. That applies under the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and the Swiss Federal Act on Data Protection (FADP).

For any privacy question or request, write to [email protected].

2. What data Vefru collects and why

Server and security logs

When you open a page, our hosting and security providers log technical data. This covers your IP address, browser, device type, the page requested and the time. We need it to deliver the site and block attacks.

Legal basis: our legitimate interest in a secure, working website.

Comparison tool and calculator inputs

What you enter in our tools (countries, data size, trip length) is used to show your results. We don't ask who you are, and we don't link searches to a name or email.

Legal basis: our legitimate interest in running the tools you use.

Analytics data

With your consent, analytics tools record how visitors use the site. Examples: pages viewed, time on page, referring site, device type and approximate location from your IP address. We use it to see which pages work and which need fixing.

Legal basis: your consent.

Advertising data

If we show ads, our ad partners may use cookies to measure them. With your consent, they may also personalize them.

Legal basis: your consent.

Affiliate link clicks

Many links to providers are affiliate links. When you click one, the affiliate network (for example Impact) and the provider record the click. They may set their own cookies to credit a purchase to Vefru.

Reports we get back show that a sale happened and what it was worth. They don't tell us who you are.

Legal basis: our legitimate interest in funding the site, and your consent where the law requires it.

Emails you send to Vefru

If you write to us, we process your email address, your name and your message to answer you. Please don't send sensitive data, for example ID documents or payment details.

Legal basis: our legitimate interest in answering you, or steps before a contract if you write about business.

Vefru is not aimed at children under 16, and we don't knowingly collect their data. We make no automated decisions about you.

3. Cookies on vefru.com

Cookies are small files stored in your browser. We use three kinds:

  • Necessary cookies keep the site working and secure. They also remember your cookie choice. They need no consent.

  • Analytics cookies measure how the site is used. They run only with your consent.

  • Advertising and affiliate cookies measure ads and credit purchases to Vefru. They run only with your consent.

Non-necessary cookies stay off until you agree. You can change your cookie settings any time through "Cookie settings" in the footer. You can also block or delete cookies in your browser.

4. Who receives your data

We share data only with services that help us run Vefru, and only as far as they need it:

  • hosting, content delivery and security services (for example Cloudflare)

  • analytics and advertising services

  • affiliate networks (for example Impact) and the providers you click through to

  • our email service

We may also disclose data if a law or a court requires it, or if Vefru is sold or merged. We don't sell your personal data to anyone.

5. Data transfers outside Switzerland and the EU

Some of these services are based in the United States or other countries. When data leaves Switzerland or the European Economic Area, we rely on a recognized safeguard. That is an adequacy decision, the EU-US and Swiss-US Data Privacy Frameworks, or standard contractual clauses.

6. How long Vefru keeps data and how we protect it

  • Logs: for the short period needed for security and debugging.

  • Analytics data: as long as we need it for statistics. After that it is deleted or made anonymous.

  • Emails: as long as we need them to handle your request. After that, only while a legal claim is possible or the law requires it.

  • Cookies: until they expire or you delete them.

We protect data with HTTPS, access controls and carefully chosen providers. No website is fully secure, so we can't promise absolute security.

7. Your privacy rights

You can ask us to:

  • show you the personal data we hold about you, and give you a copy

  • correct data that is wrong

  • delete your data

  • restrict how we use it, or stop using it where we rely on legitimate interest

  • hand over your data in a common format

You can withdraw a consent at any time. That does not affect what happened before.

Write to [email protected]. We answer within 30 days, and we may ask you to confirm your identity first.

You can also complain to your data protection authority. In Switzerland that is the FDPIC, in the Czech Republic the ÚOOÚ, and in Poland the UODO. If your local law gives you more rights, we respect those too.

8. Links to eSIM providers and other websites

When you leave vefru.com, the other site's privacy policy applies. We don't control how providers handle your data, so read their policy before you buy.

9. Updates to this privacy policy

We update this policy when our tools or the law require it. The date at the top shows the current version. If an update affects your rights in a big way, we announce it on the site.

10. Contact Vefru about privacy

For anything about this policy or your data, write to [email protected].
