Vefru terms: the short version

• Vefru is free. We compare and review eSIMs. We don't sell them.

• Prices and plan details come from providers and change often. Check the provider's site before you buy.

• Everything we publish is our intellectual property. Don't copy, scrape or republish it without our written permission.

• We earn a commission from some links. That never decides a verdict.

1. Who runs vefru.com and where these terms apply

vefru.com (the "site") is run by the Vefru team ("Vefru", "we"). These terms apply to every page, tool and language version of the site.

2. What Vefru does and what it does not do

Vefru is an information service. We list eSIM plans, publish test results and write guides. The site is free and needs no account.

We are not a telecom provider, and we don't sell eSIMs. When you click through and buy, your contract is with the provider. The provider handles payment, delivery, activation, refunds and its own help desk. We are not a party to that contract.

3. Prices, plan data and test scores on Vefru

Plan data comes from providers, and much of it is collected automatically. Prices and plan terms change often, sometimes daily. We work to keep the data current. Still, we can't guarantee that every price, data allowance, validity, network or coverage detail is correct.

The provider's checkout shows the binding price and terms, so check them before you pay. Some prices are converted between currencies and can differ slightly from the provider's price.

The Vefru test score and our verdicts are our honest opinion. They rest on hands-on tests run at a certain time and place. Your speed, coverage and help desk experience may differ. Figures on how often an eSIM worked in a country come from traveler reports. They are not a promise of coverage.

Our how-to and troubleshooting guides are general information. Your phone, carrier and software version may behave differently. You follow the guides at your own risk.

4. Affiliate links and ads on Vefru

Some links to providers are affiliate links. If you buy through them, we may earn a commission, at no extra cost to you. The site may also show ads. Commissions and ads never decide a score or a verdict. We buy the plans we test with our own money.

5. Intellectual property: all Vefru content belongs to us

What Vefru owns

• articles, reviews, guides, FAQs and all translations

• test results, Vefru test scores, ratings, rankings and verdicts

• screenshots, photos, graphics, icons, charts and videos

• the plan database, price data and statistics, and the way we select and arrange them

• the comparison tool, calculators, source code, design and layout

• the Vefru name, logo and domain

All of it is protected by copyright, trademark, database and unfair competition laws. That holds in Switzerland, in the EU and worldwide. All rights reserved.

What you may do on Vefru without asking

• view the site and use the tools to plan your own, non-commercial trip

• share a link to any page

• quote briefly where copyright law allows it, with Vefru named as the source and a link to the original page

What you may not do with Vefru content

Everything else needs our prior written permission. In particular, you must not:

• copy, take, download, reproduce or store our content, in whole or in part

• republish, repost, distribute, sell, license or make it available anywhere else

• modify, translate, adapt or rewrite it, or build derivative works from it

• scrape, crawl, harvest or extract content or data, by hand or by automated means

• use our content or data to train, fine-tune or test AI models, or to feed AI-generated content

• build or fill a competing website, database, app or data feed with our data

• frame, mirror or embed the site, or hotlink our images and files

• remove or hide copyright, trademark or source notices

• use the Vefru name, logo or scores in ads, on product pages or as an endorsement

Public search engines may index the site for search results if they follow our robots.txt file. We expressly reserve all text and data mining rights under Article 4 of Directive (EU) 2019/790 and similar laws.

Provider names, logos and trademarks belong to their owners. We show them only to identify the providers we compare.

For licensing, press quotes or data partnerships, write to [email protected]. If you break this section, your right to use the site ends at once. We may block your access and send takedown notices to hosts and search engines. We may also claim damages and legal costs.

6. Rules for using vefru.com

You agree not to:

• access the site with bots, scripts or other automated tools, except public search engines as set out in section 5

• overload, probe, attack or disrupt the site or its servers

• bypass rate limits, blocks or any other technical protection

• reverse engineer or decompile our tools or code

• use the site for anything unlawful, misleading or harmful to others

• pose as Vefru, or suggest that we endorse you

We may limit or block access for anyone who breaks these rules, without notice.

7. Links to eSIM providers and other websites

The site links to providers and other websites we don't control. We are not responsible for their content, prices, services, security or privacy practices. A link or a good score is not a guarantee. Read the provider's own terms before you buy.

8. Liability: what Vefru is and is not responsible for

The site is provided "as is" and "as available". We give no warranty that it is accurate, complete, current, free of errors or always online. We may modify, pause or remove any content or tool at any time.

As far as the law allows, we are not liable for any loss from your use of the site. The same goes for any loss from a provider's service. Examples: a plan that did not work as listed, roaming charges, lost data, lost profit or a missed connection. You rely on the site's content at your own risk.

Nothing in these terms limits liability that can't be limited by law. That covers intent and gross negligence. It also covers the mandatory consumer rights of the country where you live.

If you break these terms, a third party may make a claim against us. In that case, you cover our reasonable costs and damages.

9. Feedback and messages you send to Vefru

If you send us feedback, corrections or trip reports, we may use them on the site. We may do so for free, worldwide and without a time limit. We may edit them, and we won't publish your name without asking. Don't send us anything confidential, or anything you have no right to share.

10. Updates to these terms

We may update these terms at any time. The new version applies from the moment we publish it here, with a new date at the top. If you keep using the site after that, you accept the updated terms.

11. Governing law, courts and general terms

These terms are governed by the laws of the country where Vefru is based, without its conflict-of-law rules. The courts of that country have exclusive jurisdiction. If you are a consumer, the mandatory protections and courts of your home country stay available to you.

If one clause turns out to be invalid, the rest still applies. If we don't enforce a right at once, we don't give it up. We may transfer our rights under these terms to a successor. Where a translation differs from the English version, the English version applies.
