Maya Mobile eSIM Review 2026: We Bought and Tested the Global Unlimited Plan

František Macháček
Maya mobile review

Maya Mobile sells one product, a global unlimited eSIM plan for 165+ countries that you install once and switch on for every trip. It is the cheapest global unlimited plan we have compared, but nothing smaller than 3 days exists.

Plus icon Checkout takes Google or Apple login, Apple Pay, Google Pay, cards and PayPal. The QR code is on the thank-you page and in the email at once.
Plus icon 785 Mbps download on 5G in our test. Full speed held for about 5.5 GB in a day, then around 10 Mbps, with a daily reset.
Plus icon The cheapest global unlimited plans we have compared: $49.99 for 30 days, less than most single-country unlimited plans.
Plus icon The most reliable of 13 providers in traveler reports: 91.2% of 3,243 country-level reports say it worked.
Minus icon No single-country or short plans. The smallest purchase is a 3-day global plan at $9.99, even for one day in a cheap-data country.
Minus icon Auto Top-Up is pushed at checkout, in the email and in the app, and your card is stored for it.
Minus icon Support on WhatsApp starts with a bot that ignores what you wrote, then a 5-step form. The human could not see our eSIM status.
Minus icon The terms set a daily high-speed quota behind "unlimited" without a number, and Maya's own pages disagree on throttling.

Maya Mobile eSIM in our hands

Phone with the Maya Mobile app during our test
We bought, installed and tested the Maya Mobile eSIM ourselves, on a Samsung phone on 27 Sep 2026.

This Maya Mobile eSIM review is based on a plan we bought with our own money and tested on a Samsung phone on 27 Sep 2026. Maya Mobile sells one product: a global unlimited data plan for 165+ countries, by its own count [3]. You install the eSIM once and switch it on for every trip [1].

We put it through the same tests as every provider, then added 12,788 Trustpilot reviews, 3,243 traveler reports on where it worked and our price database. The result is a Vefru score of 8.1 out of 10, the average of our eight categories. We also read the terms closely. It is the best unlimited plan we have tested, held back by a 3-day minimum and a support desk that cannot see your eSIM.

Maya Mobile purchase process

Purchase process

Vefru rating

One of the most complete checkouts we have tested, QR code delivered at once. Points off for the location prompt and Auto Top-Up push.

Verdict: one of the most complete checkouts we have tested, and the eSIM lands in your inbox at once.

Maya Mobile sells only global unlimited plans, in 3, 7, 14 or 30 days [5]. There is no country to pick, no data size to choose and no app to install first. You buy on maya.net or in the app. We bought on the website.

How to buy a Maya Mobile eSIM

  1. Pick a plan length. One global unlimited plan, in 3, 7, 14 or 30 days [5]. A Global + Cruise version of each length adds coverage at sea [6].
  2. Log in or create an account. The checkout starts with Google, Apple or email login. We used Google, and the site then preselected Google Pay, which made sense.
  3. Check your phone. The checkout links to Maya's compatible-device list [8]. Your phone must be carrier-unlocked [1].
  4. Pay. Apple Pay, Google Pay, debit or credit card and PayPal were all on the page in our test. The total was $9.99, with no fees or taxes added at checkout.
  5. Get the eSIM. The thank-you page shows the QR code, an Apple quick-install link, the SM-DP+ address and the Android activation string. The email with the same details and an invoice link arrived within minutes.

Maya's own pages list only Apple Pay, Google Pay and major credit cards [4]. PayPal and a debit card were on the checkout page for us anyway. Prices include VAT or sales tax unless the checkout says otherwise, and USD is the default currency [1].

What stood out when buying from Maya Mobile

  • Everything happens on the website. The QR code is on the thank-you page and in the email, so you never need the app. Roamless and Saily, in our experience, push you into their apps to get at the plan.
  • The payment looked stuck for about 15 seconds. Our bank deducted the money before the thank-you page appeared. Don't pay twice; it is working in the background.
  • The site asked Chrome for our precise location. No reason was shown. For a plan that covers 165+ countries, this felt like collecting data for its own sake.
  • Auto Top-Up is pushed everywhere. The checkout stores your card for it, the email tells you to turn it on, and the app sells it again. It is off by default and you get a notice before each renewal [1], but the push feels like a nudge toward a subscription.
  • The QR code sits only in the email body. An attached image would be easier to handle on a second device.

The one thing you cannot buy is a small plan. The smallest purchase is the 3-day global plan at $9.99 [5]; the prices section shows when that beats a local plan and when it does not.

Maya Mobile app

Mobile app

Vefru rating

Simple, clean and optional, with help one tap away. The flow assumes you buy in the app, so logging in takes a moment.

Verdict: a simple, good-looking app that you do not have to use, with help one tap away.

The app is on the App Store and Google Play [10], and it is optional. We installed it only to see what it adds. eSIM4Travel takes the same website-first approach, and we like it far more than Ubigi's, where a weak app is the main way in.

What the Maya Mobile app does

  • Onboarding for first-timers. It opens with three cards: buy a plan, install the eSIM, and Auto Top-Up. Good if you have never done this. The third card is the Auto Top-Up pitch again.
  • Login sits under the big button. The flow expects you to buy in the app. If you bought on the website, skip "Get Started" and tap the small "Log In" link under it. Google, Apple and email logins are there.
  • Your plan appears by itself. Our website purchase showed up on the "My eSIMs" home screen right after login, with its status and an "Installation Instructions" button.
  • Four tabs: My eSIMs, Help, Purchases and Profile. Purchases is a plain list of order numbers. Profile holds payment methods, reward points, the compatible-device list and the legal pages.
  • Help is one tap away. The Help tab is second in the bottom bar, with a "Need more help?" button floating on it. There is no help link on the home screen, and "Contact Us" sits fifth in the Profile list, easy to miss.

The design is modern and card-based, with a globe mascot in sunglasses. It is not overwhelming, which we appreciate. Polish is not perfect: the floating help button covers a line of text on the Help tab, and a few strings read awkwardly. Thumbs up overall for a very simple but nice app.

Maya Mobile eSIM installation

eSIM installation

Vefru rating

One-click install from the app in about two minutes, and 5G data worked right away. You set the APN and roaming yourself.

Verdict: installed in about 2 minutes with the app's one-click method, and 5G data worked right away with no restart or manual network selection.

Maya gives you three ways to install: Automatic (recommended), QR code and Manual [7]. The homepage says it takes about 2 minutes [10], and in our test it did. The eSIM runs alongside your existing SIM, so your home number stays active [7].

Installing the Maya Mobile eSIM on a Samsung phone in six steps

  1. Open Installation Instructions in the app. It opened on the Samsung tab for our phone. There are chips for iOS, Samsung, Google Pixel, Oppo and more, so you can also send the install link to a different phone.
  2. Pick a method. Automatic is a one-click install for Android 10 and later, through Google's own esimsetup.android.com link. QR Code and Manual are the other tabs.
  3. Tap "Install on this device". The app explains the permission first. Android then asks twice: to "make and manage phone calls", which is Android's standard label for SIM access, and to use the phone's eSIM. We allowed both.
  4. Wait a moment. A screen says "Your eSIM is being installed". It took about a minute.
  5. Set the APN to globaldata and turn Data Roaming on. The success screen reminds you, and the app does not do it for you.
  6. Done. A push notification confirms the eSIM is enabled. Our phone showed 5G and data worked at once, with no restart and no manual network selection.

Installing without the app: QR code and manual method

You can skip the app entirely. The QR code is on the thank-you page and in the confirmation email, with the SM-DP+ address and activation code for manual entry. Our guides cover adding an eSIM on an iPhone, adding one on a Samsung and turning an activation code into a QR code.

Three warnings from Maya's own email are worth repeating. Activation needs an internet connection, so install before you arrive. iPhone users must not pick "Transfer your phone number" or anything about their primary SIM. And validity is counted in UTC.

The plan activates once the eSIM connects to a network, so installing at home does not start the clock. Each day then runs 24 hours from the start [4]. Maya's compatible-device list covers Apple, Samsung, Google Pixel, Vivo, Oppo, Xiaomi and Huawei [8]. Apple models run from the iPhone XR and XS to the iPhone 17 series and iPhone Air, and iPads and cellular Apple Watch models are on the list too [8].

Maya Mobile eSIM not working? Check these first

  • APN set to globaldata, with the username and password fields empty.
  • Data Roaming on for the Maya line.
  • Maya selected for mobile data in your SIM manager.
  • Phone carrier-unlocked and connected to the internet during activation.

If those are right and it still fails, our eSIM troubleshooting guide has the next steps, and Maya's support path is in the next section.

Maya Mobile customer support

Vefru rating

A human answered on WhatsApp within minutes, but only after a bot and a form, and could not see our eSIM status.

Verdict: easy to find and quick to answer, but you pass a bot and a form first, and the human cannot see your eSIM.

Maya promises 24/7 human support on WhatsApp, and its global plan page contrasts this with competitors' chatbots [4]. The site footer adds an email address and a phone number [10]. In the app, the "Need more help?" button on the Help tab gives two options: WhatsApp Chat or Submit Contact Request. We chose WhatsApp.

How long Maya Mobile support took to answer

  1. Minute 0, the bot. The chat opens with "Hi support team, I need help with my eSIM" already typed. We added that the eSIM was installed but had no internet. The bot replied at once with a pre-install checklist: strong Wi-Fi, unlocked phone, order email handy. None of it applied.
  2. Then, a false reassurance. After a few yes answers the bot said our plan was activated. It had not checked anything; it assumed so from the flow we clicked through.
  3. Minute 4, "Talk to a human". The bot gave up with "Sorry I couldn't answer your question", then asked whether we are an existing customer. WhatsApp does not know who you are, so the question is unavoidable.
  4. Minute 5, a form. A 5-step Zendesk form opened inside WhatsApp, starting with our name. You type what the app already knows, because the chat is not inside the app.
  5. About 4 minutes later, a human. A real agent sent Samsung-specific APN steps, asked for a restart and said to expect 4G or 5G within 10 minutes.
  6. Replies every 2 to 15 minutes after that. The agent asked for screenshots, then for APN screenshots after we had sent our SIM settings. Our question whether they could see our line's status was ignored.

The agent was polite and responsive, but worked from pre-written messages. We ran this test while our data was already working, and the agent could not see that. In our GigSky test, support could see that the eSIM was installed and connected. With Maya you get a human, but one who knows little more than a friend on WhatsApp would.

Two more things. The bot's "only install when you're ready to use it" contradicts Maya's own email, which says to install before you arrive. And WhatsApp needs an internet connection, so if your eSIM is the problem you need Wi-Fi first. Our ranking of the best eSIM customer support shows who does this better.

Maya Mobile speed test

Speed test

Vefru rating

785 Mbps on 5G with no throttling until about 5.5 GB in a day, then around 10 Mbps. The fairest unlimited plan we have tested.

Verdict: the best unlimited plan we have tested so far: full 5G speed until about 5.5 GB in a day, then around 10 Mbps, reset daily.

We ran Ookla Speedtest on a Samsung phone on 5G. Maya was a pleasant surprise: 785 Mbps down and about 93 Mbps up, consistent across runs. That is the whole bandwidth of the 5G network at our location, so Maya adds no cap of its own at the start.

When Maya Mobile unlimited data gets throttled

Because the plan is unlimited, we kept using data to find the limit. At about 5.5 GB in one day (the phone's data counter showed 5.46 GB on the Maya line) both directions dropped to around 10 Mbps. Latency under load fell too, because the capped link no longer saturates.

24 hours later the speed was back up, so the 5.5 GB limit is a daily one. Around 10 Mbps still handles maps, messaging, video calls and standard video. That is close to buying a real data package instead of an "unlimited" one, which is rare. If you plan around 5 GB a day at full speed, you will not be surprised.

Other unlimited plans are far stricter. Holafly throttled right away in our test. By their own published fair-use rules at 1 Oct 2026, the rest look like this:

  • Airalo and Jetpac: 3 GB a day, then 1 Mbps.
  • Nomad: 2 GB a day, then about 1 to 2 Mbps.
  • Saily: 5 GB a day, then 1 Mbps.
  • Maya Mobile in our test: about 5.5 GB a day, then around 10 Mbps. It beats all of them.

What Maya Mobile's fair-use rules actually say

  • The terms set a daily quota. Each day you get a high-speed allowance at 4G LTE or 5G, then "standard speed" for the rest of the day. The quota resets every 24 hours, unused quota does not carry over, and no speed is guaranteed. No number is given [1].
  • The marketing says the opposite. The global plan FAQ says you will never see artificial throttling from Maya [4]. Our test says otherwise.
  • The help center has quoted several figures. Our provider research found a current help-center article with 10 Mbps after 3 GB a day, then 1 Mbps for very heavy use. An older article says 3 GB standard, 5 GB maximum, then 1 Mbps. Our price database lists 5 GB a day, then 3 Mbps. We measured about 5.5 GB, then around 10 Mbps, with a daily reset.
  • Acceptable use: no home broadband replacement, no commercial hotspot, no bots or bulk transfers, and no peer-to-peer sharing that slows the network. Maya may deprioritize traffic during congestion [9].

Hotspot and tethering are included at no extra cost [4]. Not sure how much you use in a day? Our guide to how much data you need for travel and our travel data calculator will tell you. And 4G vs 5G explains what 785 Mbps means in practice.

Maya Mobile prices and value

Prices

Vefru rating

The cheapest global unlimited plans we have compared, but no single-country or short plans, so one day costs the three-day price.

Verdict: cheap for what it is (30 days of global unlimited data for $49.99) and dear for what it is not (no 1 GB or one-day plan).

As of 2 Oct 2026 we compared Maya's 8 plans with the unlimited plans of 13 other providers for the same trip length. Maya sells no fixed-data plans, so it has no place in the per-GB ranking we use in other provider reviews. The tables below compare it with other unlimited plans instead. One price applies in every covered country, whether you are in France or Japan [4]. All prices are in US dollars and include tax unless the checkout says otherwise [1].

Maya Mobile plan prices as of 2 Oct 2026

The eight plans are four global unlimited lengths and a Global + Cruise version of each:

LengthGlobal unlimitedPer dayGlobal + CruisePer day
3 days$9.99 [5]$3.33$49.99 [6]$16.66
7 days$19.99 [5]$2.86$109.99 [6]$15.71
14 days$27.99 [5]$2.00$160.99 [6]$11.50
30 days$49.99 [5]$1.67$299.99 [6]$10.00

Our $9.99 plan cost exactly $9.99 at checkout. Each step up gets cheaper per day. Going from 3 to 7 days adds $10.00, 7 to 14 days adds $8.00 and 14 to 30 days adds $22.00. One oddity: the 14-day cruise plan is $160.99 on the cruise page [6] but $164.99 in the terms [1].

The cruise versions cost five to six times the land plan. They run over satellite and maritime networks, and coverage depends on the ship and the route [1]. Maya lists 20+ cruise lines [10].

There are small rewards. You earn 1 point per $4.99 spent, each worth $0.33, which works out at about 6.6% back on the 30-day plan. Points expire after 180 days, and a referral earns you and your friend 10 points each [1].

Maya Mobile vs other unlimited plans for 7 and 30 days

Maya's plans are the cheapest global unlimited plans in our price database by a wide margin. The table uses our database as of 2 Oct 2026; Yesim prices were converted from euros at 1.15 USD per EUR.

Ubigi Best Worldnot compared$108.00177
Airalo Discover$45.00$159.00161

For 30 days Maya costs 31% to 55% of what those three charge. The gap holds against single-country unlimited plans too. Every median price in the next table is above Maya's $49.99 global plan.

Where a Maya Mobile eSIM is good value, and where it is not

  • Best value where local data is dear: much of Africa, the Pacific and the Caribbean, because Maya's price does not change by country.
  • Least compelling in Europe and Asia, where fixed-data plans from eSIM4Travel or Global YO cost less if you need only a few GB.
  • Worst for a day trip or a layover. The smallest purchase is the 3-day global plan at $9.99 [5], the price of a few hours of airport data in any country. In cheap-data countries like Singapore or Austria, a one-day single-country plan from another provider saves money or buys far more fast data.
  • Up to 150 GB at full speed on a 30-day plan, going by the 5 GB a day allowance in our database. That matches what we measured and beats any fixed package.
  • No fixed-data, single-country or regional plans, and no calls. Hotspot use, top-ups and VPN use are allowed.

Our list of countries where eSIM data is cheapest shows where a local plan beats a global one, and our cheapest eSIM comparison ranks the small plans. To check your own destination against Maya, use our comparison of unlimited plans for 7 days or more.

Maya Mobile's price position across our comparisons

The box below sums up Maya's position in our price database. Because it sells only unlimited plans, it has no per-GB rank. The pills show how its 7-day and 30-day plans compare with other global unlimited plans, and which plan types it does not sell at all.

Maya Mobile prices

A very good buy for a week or more: the 30-day global plan costs less than most providers' single-country unlimited plans. A poor fit for a short stay where local data is cheap, because the smallest plan is 3 days and global.

Maya Mobile customer feedback

Customer feedback

Vefru rating

Rated 4.5 on Trustpilot, with praise for easy setup and quick support. Complaints are about dead connections and refused refunds.

Verdict: customers give Maya Mobile 4.5 out of 5 on Trustpilot for easy setup and fast support; the complaints are dead connections and refused refunds.

We read the Trustpilot reviews and the app store ratings and pulled out what keeps coming up. On the plus side, the eSIM is easy to buy and install and usually connects on landing. Support replies within minutes, and the price is far below roaming. On the minus side, in some countries the connection is slow, drops or never works. When a fix does not come quickly, support can repeat the same steps or stop replying, and refunds are often refused once a little data has been used.

Two things to keep in mind when reading reviews. Maya relaunched its product in May 2026, as its own launch post says. Older reviews describe the previous range of single-country plans, like the £9 3 GB South Africa plan one reviewer praises. And the refund complaints match the terms: no refund once data has been used, except for network problems on Maya's side [1].

The ratings line up with our own test: fast purchase and install, a quick but limited support desk, and a connection that works nearly everywhere. The next section shows where "nearly" falls short.

Activation

Simple order and activation process, all done at the airport while waiting for boarding. Turned off UK sim and turned on eSim just before takeoff, and on arrival in Berlin everything worked perfectly. Excellent signal whilst there, mostly 5g. I will definitely be using Maya again when travelling!

Esim stopped working after 2 days in Vietnam. Customer help tried helping me but their tips didnt work. No refund granted and I had to buy another esim from a different provider.

Support

I use e-sims regularly. This is the first time I've used Maya mobile. I'd arrived in Seoul and it wasn't working, I tried all the fixes I could find online and then while waiting for immigration sent a message for help because once I left the airport I'd have no internet. Anyway I can't believe how quickly Jesslyn replied and the solution was clear with easy steps to follow. And I was online before I got in the taxi. Tech doesn't always work as it should so having quick support is really important to me.

Used a £9 3GB two week e-sim from Maya Mobile recently on a trip to South Africa. It worked perfectly and connectivity was great. I would highly recommend it when travelling abroad to avoid roaming charges (the same data on my Smarty contract would have cost £750!!!)

Maya Mobile coverage

Coverage

Vefru rating

Most reliable of 13 providers in traveler reports, strongest in Europe, North America and Mexico. Weaker in Taiwan, Vietnam, Cambodia, Morocco and Egypt.

Verdict: 91.2% of 3,243 traveler reports say Maya Mobile worked, the best of 13 providers once destination mix is accounted for. Asia and North Africa are its soft spots.

Maya claims 165+ countries, 250+ network partners and 5G in 125+ countries [3]. Its coverage page lists 183 destinations and names the local partners [3]. The United States, for example, has 5G on T-Mobile and Verizon, and the United Kingdom has 5G on EE and O2 plus LTE on Three [3]. Six countries are 3G only: Central African Republic, Comoros, Ghana, Gibraltar, Vanuatu and Zambia [3]. Our price database counts 178 countries, so take every count as approximate.

Not on the list: the Maldives, Cuba, Lebanon, Ethiopia, Greenland, Namibia, Zimbabwe, Samoa, Tonga, Papua New Guinea, Bhutan, Belize, Guyana, Suriname and Haiti [3]. Iran, Russia, Belarus, Venezuela and Afghanistan are listed, but the terms ban any use that breaks US sanctions [1].

Where Maya Mobile works, by 3,243 traveler reports

Our "worked in" data comes from travelers reporting whether a provider worked in a place or not, not from our own test. It sets the coverage rating, one of the eight categories in the Vefru score. Maya is the most reported provider in it, with 3,243 country-level reports from 125 countries, and 2,956 of them (91.2%) say it worked. The market average is 84.3%.

Adjusted for where people used it, Maya has about half the failures the market would have in the same countries. That is the best ratio of all 13 providers. Head to head it beats 9 of 12 rivals clearly. Only Roamless matches it, on about a sixth of the volume.

  • Strongest: Europe (94.2% of 1,354 reports, first of 13), the USA and Canada (95.7%) and Mexico (96.8% against a market average of 67.3%). Also the Nordics (98.3%), the Middle East, Oceania, South America, Türkiye and China.
  • Weaker: Asia as a whole (89.0%, fifth of 13), North Africa (68.4%, below the market), and the Balkans and the Caucasus at market level.
  • Worst countries with at least 9 reports: Cambodia 40%, Taiwan 64%, Bosnia 64%, Bolivia 67%, Morocco 67% and Egypt 69%. Then Montenegro 71%, Panama 71%, Cyprus 75%, Albania 79% and Vietnam 80%.
  • Where failures cluster: remote and high-altitude spots like the Andes, small Caribbean islands, Montenegro's coast and mountains, and Indonesia's outer islands.

The box below shows the report data country by country, with the local networks and how rivals did in the same places. Reports are self-reported and mix network, setup and device problems, so treat small samples as a hint, not a verdict.

      How this eSIM compares

        About these numbers

Each review is one traveler telling us whether their eSIM worked well in a country. A country gets a color once it has at least reviews. “Other eSIMs” combines every other provider we track, weighted to the countries this provider’s reviewers visited. Since unhappy customers review more often, the numbers are best used to compare providers with each other.

        Maya Mobile terms and conditions

Verdict: mostly fair terms with a clear 30-day refund rule and Auto Top-Up off by default; the catches are an unquantified daily quota and arbitration in Delaware.

The operator is Mobile Maya Inc., registered in Nassau, Bahamas [1]. The terms are governed by Delaware law, and disputes go to binding arbitration in Kent County, Delaware, with class actions ruled out [1]. The terms add that the consumer laws of your home country may still apply [1]. We read the terms and the privacy policy on 28 Sep 2026.

        • Full refund, minus payment fees, if you have used no data and ask within 30 days of purchase [1]. The same applies if the plan is unusable because of Maya's error and not fixed within 10 days of your request [1].
        • Locked or incompatible phone: full refund under the same no-data, 30-day rule [1].
        • 14-day withdrawal right, or until the eSIM is activated, whichever comes first [1].
        • Partial refund if the plan partly works but the network fails on Maya's side, requested within 30 days of the problem [1].
        • No refund otherwise, including a canceled trip after the plan was activated and data was used. Card refunds can take up to 30 business days [1].

Auto Top-Up is off by default and buys the same plan again at expiry [1]. You get a notice before each renewal and 30 days' notice of any price increase [1]. The homepage says "No auto-charges" [10], while the global plan page says the plan auto-renews while Travel Mode is on [4]. Check the toggle in My eSIM after you buy.

Maya says it does not sell personal data and gives network partners only technical identifiers [2]. It keeps network connection logs for 6 months, support messages for 3 years, and account and payment records for 7 years [2]. That sits oddly next to the marketing claim that browsing is never recorded or shared [4].

Other points: the minimum age is 13, with parental consent under 18 [1]. Liability is capped at what you paid for the plan, and new terms can apply as soon as you keep using the service [1]. The box below sorts the clauses by what they mean for you.

Frequently Asked Questions About Maya Mobile

Is Maya Mobile a reliable eSIM provider?
Yes, by our data it is the most reliable provider in traveler reports. 91.2% of 3,243 country-level reports say Maya worked, the best failure rate of 13 providers after adjusting for destination mix. It has a Vefru score of 8.1 out of 10, with purchase, installation, speed, customer feedback and coverage all at 9. Its soft spots are Taiwan, Vietnam, Cambodia, Morocco and Egypt. See how it stacks up in (Best eSIM Providers 2026 | Airalo vs Holafly vs Saily Comparison).
Does Maya Mobile really have unlimited data?
Unlimited, with a daily high-speed limit. In our test the plan ran at full 5G speed until about 5.5 GB in one day, then dropped to around 10 Mbps, and the limit reset the next day. Maya's terms describe a daily quota but give no number, and its help center has quoted several figures. Work out your own daily need with (Travel Data Calculator).
How much does a Maya Mobile eSIM cost?
From $9.99 for 3 days to $49.99 for 30 days of global unlimited data, as of 2 Oct 2026. The 7-day plan is $19.99 and the 14-day plan $27.99, so the daily price falls from $3.33 to $1.67. Global + Cruise versions cost $49.99 to $299.99. One price applies in every covered country, and there are no single-country or fixed-data plans. Compare it with other providers in (Cheapest eSIM 2026 - Price Comparison from $0.50 | Vefru).
Which countries does Maya Mobile cover?
Maya says 165+ countries, and its coverage page lists 183 destinations with 5G in 125+ of them. Traveler reports are strongest in Europe, the USA and Canada, Mexico and the Nordics, where 94% to 98% of reports say it worked. They are weakest in Cambodia, Taiwan, Bosnia, Bolivia, Morocco and Egypt. Places not on the list include the Maldives, Cuba, Lebanon, Greenland and Namibia.
How do I install the Maya Mobile eSIM?
Three ways: the app's one-click Automatic method for Android 10 and later, a QR code, or manual entry of the SM-DP+ address and activation code. The QR code is on the thank-you page and in the confirmation email, so the app is optional. After installing, set the APN to globaldata and switch Data Roaming on. Our install took about 2 minutes. For the Samsung steps see (How to Set Up eSIM on Samsung Galaxy Phones (2026) | Vefru).
Can I get a refund from Maya Mobile?
Yes, if you have used no data and ask within 30 days of purchase; Maya refunds the price minus payment fees. The same applies if your phone turns out to be locked or incompatible. There is also a 14-day withdrawal right until the eSIM is activated, and a partial refund if the network fails on Maya's side. Once data has been used, customers report that refunds are refused.
Maya Mobile eSIM not working: what should I check first?
Check three settings on the Maya line: APN set to globaldata with no username or password, Data Roaming on, and Maya selected for mobile data. Your phone must be carrier-unlocked, and activation needs an internet connection, so install at home or on Wi-Fi. Support runs on WhatsApp, which also needs internet. Maya Mobile eSIM review: summary and verdict

Verdict: 8.1 out of 10. The best unlimited plan we have tested and the most reliable provider in traveler reports. Held back by a 3-day minimum, a limited support desk and prices that suit longer trips only.

Maya Mobile does one thing and does it well. You install the eSIM once and switch it on wherever you land. The global unlimited plan costs from $9.99 for 3 days to $49.99 for 30 days [5], the lowest of any global unlimited plan we compared.

In our test it installed in about 2 minutes and ran at 785 Mbps on 5G. It slowed to around 10 Mbps only after about 5.5 GB in a day. And 91.2% of 3,243 traveler reports say it worked.

The weak points are real but specific. Nothing smaller than 3 days exists. Support reaches a human only after a bot and a form, and that human cannot see your eSIM. And the terms promise a daily quota without saying how big it is.

Buy a Maya Mobile eSIM if

        • You travel for a week or more and want one price everywhere, especially across several countries in Europe or the Americas.
        • You use a lot of data. About 5 GB a day at full speed beats every other unlimited plan we have tested.
        • You go where other eSIMs fail. Mexico, the Nordics, Switzerland, Greece, the Middle East and sub-Saharan Africa are where Maya's lead in traveler reports is largest.
        • You want to skip the app. The website gives you the QR code and everything else.

        Look elsewhere if

        • Your trip is a day or two in a country with cheap data. A local plan from eSIM4Travel or Global YO costs less.
        • You are heading to Taiwan, Vietnam, Morocco or Egypt. Traveler reports there favor Nomad, Ubigi, ByteSIM or GoMoWorld. Cambodia is hard for every provider.
        • You want support that can see your line. GigSky and Saily scored higher with us on support.
        • You need a phone number or calls. Maya is data only.

That is our Maya Mobile eSIM review: a strong pick for longer trips and for destinations where other eSIMs struggle. The one condition is that 3 days is the smallest plan you need. You can buy on Maya Mobile's site, or check your destination in our comparison tool first.
